Resolutions Supporting Expanded Passenger Rail Routes

March 10, 2026

Bills in the Minnesota House and Senate direct MnDOT to submit applications to the Federal Railroad Administration to study two corridors: Saint Paul to Fargo on a daytime schedule and new service between the Twin Cities and Kansas City. Chambers of Commerce and City Councils in 11 cities along the corridors have adopted resolutions of support for expanded passenger rail.
Now we need your legislators to get on board. Ask your legislators to support HF3176 / SF 2887.

I support expanding passenger rail in Minnesota and the upper Midwest. Passenger rail is a safe, affordable, and pleasant way to travel. It promotes economic development and tourism. Please support SF2887 and HF3176—bills that direct MnDOT to submit applications to the Federal Railroad Administration to study two corridors: Twin Cities to Fargo on a daytime schedule and new service between the Twin Cities and Kansas City.
